The Chapter is currently seeking qualified volunteers for several critical positions. Interview, references, and background check are required for all positions:

The Red Cross kitchen needs cleaning - Our kitchen needs to be organized and cleaned. We estimate this will take three hours. We have the necessary cleaning supplies. Contact Diana Schmid at 425.740.2327 or Chris Fox 425.740.2341.
Bathroom walls need touchup paint - We have several bathroom walls that need to be prepped and painted. Three hour commitment. Contact Diana Schmid at 425.740.2327 or Chris Fox 425.740.2341.
Carpet needs to be shampooed - We supply the carpet cleaning equipment and this task will take 1-3 volunteers approximately 3 to 4 hours to complete. Contact Diana Schmid at 425.740.2327 or Chris Fox 425.740.2341.
Light carpentry work and repairs – Cut trim for new door casing and install base molding in our Emergency Operation Center. Approximately three hour commitment. Contact Diana Schmid at 425.740.2327 or Chris Fox 425.740.2341.

NEW! Red Cross ENewsletter Administrator Needed - We are looking for an individual with a background in web design and/or social media to help develop and administer our new Red Cross ENewsletter. This volunteer position would include:
- Setting up a yearly calendar for email campaigns.
- Receive articles and images from staff and others for inclusion in newsletter.
- Use and create email templates, update and add content, links, and images.
- Create, preview, and test email campaigns.
- Schedule delivery to appropriate contacts.

AFES (Armed Forces Emergency Services) Caseworkers - Several people needed to work on an on-call basis to assist with emergency communications between our deployed servicemen and women and their families here at home. Both day and night duties are needed, but most training will occur during the day. Calls are handled from home during nights and weekends, and from our office at Naval Station Everett during weekdays. Health & Safety Instructors - Instructors needed to teach CPR, 1st Aid, and other related classes. We are currently looking for instructors for M-F evening shifts. Cost: Instructors who will commit to volunteering a minimum of one class per month will receive training at a reduced fee. Instructors who will be paid for instructing will pay $250 for the course. Grant Database Assistant - Assist Red Cross in delivering mission by raising funds to provide relief to victims of disaster. Your key responsiblities will be to increase the number of potential funding sources for various Red Cross Programs and services by conducting research via internet, telephone book, or other resources. Prepare a database of potential funding sources by entering data into Excel spreadsheets from written and online resources. Must have computer and internet skills.

SUPPORT SERVICES:
Small construction projects - A volunteer handy with a hammer, saw, drill, and level is needed on occasion to build and/or repair things in our facility. Examples of types of projects are building and installing shelves, rebuilding a cabinet to meet the needs of users, repairing drywall, shortening a door, posting signage, installing a ventilation fan.
Receptionist - is needed to greet and direct visitors and relay phone calls through our multi-line system. Outgoing personality and good grooming help give the best "first impression" to our clients and customers.
